WATERTOWN ON WEDNESDAY (W.O.W.)

W.O.W. has begun.  On Wednesday evenings folks are invited to gather for food, fellowship, and faith development.  The evening begins at 6:00pm with a potluck supper followed at 6:30pm by Bible Study for adults and rehearsal for the youth choir.  For children too young for choir or not interested in singing at this point in time, childcare is provided.  An eight-week Short-Term Disciple Bible Study titled Invitation to the Old Testament is the current offering at W.O.W.

Adult Study Short Term Disciple Bible Study “Invitation to the Old Testament”

Began on Wednesday, September 23^rd an 8-week study of the Old Testament isl be offered using material from the Disciple Bible Study program.  Invitation to the Old Testament is a study of the Hebrew Scriptures inviting participants to hear the story of God and God’s calling of the people of Israel through the many “voices” of the biblical text.  The study will seek to address the questions, “What does it mean to be God’s chosen people?” and “How does the story of Israel’s covenant with God inform our own identity as heirs of that covenant?”  Participants will be invited to listen afresh to the witness of the Old Testament to hear God’s call and purpose for their own lives and respond to that call.  This study will be offered as a part of W.O.W. (Watertown on Wednesday). 

Sunday School Teachers:
Teachers study the scriptures and topic questions for the upcoming Sunday lessons.
